The Pensacola Police Department is one of approximately 15 law enforcement agencies nationwide being featured on videos this week at the 123rd International Chiefs of Police annual conference in San Diego, CA.
A video on the Pensacola Police Department recognizing it as a 21st Century community oriented policing agency will be shown at various locations throughout the conference, which is taking place Oct. 15 to 18.
“We focus our attention on the intentional…going out and building relationships with people,” said Pensacola Police Chief David Alexander III.
In addition to spotlighting the Pensacola Police Department, the video also includes comments from Alexander; Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward; local NAACP President Eladies P. Sampson; Andrew Maxwell, executive director Camelot Academy; and Drake White, Camelot Academy student; and scenes of Pensacola.
The annual conference features educational programs, keynote speakers, community building special events, and collections of tactical equipment and technology solutions for local, state, federal, and other law enforcement agencies.
The approximate six-minute video can be found on YouTube.com. It is #18 under WebsEdgeGovernment IACP TV 2016.
