A white and gold Rolex watch is still missing since it was stolen from a local jewelry store on November 17, and police need help in finding the suspects.
A sales associate at Jewelers Trade Shop, 26 S. Palafox St., told police two unidentified Middle Eastern males walked into the store around 2:30 p.m. on November 17. At first, they wanted to look at male necklaces, but then changed their minds and wanted to look at watches.
After showing the men five watches, they told the employee they wanted to purchase a white and gold Rolex. The employee said she put two watches back in the case and two others in the vault. The men told her they’d pay half in cash and the rest on a card. They asked her to ask her supervisor for the best price and said they would return with the credit card. The suspects then left the store.
Approximately five to ten minutes after they left, the employee noticed the Rolex was missing. Police were then notified.
Anyone having information on the theft is asked to contact Detective Gilbert Galloway at 435 – 1974 or Crime Stoppers at 433 – STOP.
